Entertainment:
John Harle and his group of musicians settle onto stage and begin playing their folk rock music with Sarah howling out haunting sounds in the background. John did not speak with the audience nor did he announce each piece of music which would have been appreciated! Marc Almond appears in the second half of the concert. I thought Marc would have greeted his audience but again he just began singing. He enters the stage in a long black robe with black sparkle top underneath just about showing. He steps up to the red pedestal and the drama begins, Marc’s voice was excellent as always. ‘Vampire of Highgate’ was my personal favourite, an excellent Marc Almond song. Perfectly reflecting his dark side, it was the only up-beat song. The other songs were more like story telling. All in all, an interesting & enjoyable evening. Very good musicians & Marc was flamboyant as always but also sombre, a few times just motionless and looking out to the audience, a set of fangs would have had us all feeling the chills a little more.
