Pretty useless - not geared up to hold big events - left waiting in the freezing cold for an hour (after doors opened) & then not particuarly organised once inside. First concert I have ever been disappointed with (band were great) - would never attend an event here again.

New Bristol Street venue is terrible compared to the old one. Main room feels small and cramped compared to the old academy, decor is bright, stage is small, not a great atmosphere and there's no hope of seeing anything if you're under the balcony. The location's annoying as well - have to go through underpasses to get to it from the city centre. It's just a wannabe music venue covered in o2 tat.

Absolutely terrible - no accessible parking within pushing distance, and only 6 avaialble disabled spaces in a capacity of 3500. The old venue, although grotty, was miles better. Can't get into most gigs there now as with only 6 spaces they sell out instantly if the band is any good.
By annoyed.

i think it is wicked! went to see the get up kids last night and they were amazing! hopefully going to see boyce avenue there in september but ofcourse it will be at the new venue then! really enjoued last night. my only complaint is that it was wayyyyy to hot in there! but thats obviously predictable because there were so many people. the band were great. the room size was pretty much perfect and it was definetly one of the best gigs i have been to in my life! cheers guys! x

. Loved the venue itself but not happy with the disabled viewing area which was where I was sat. The sectioned off area was so tiny that musical chairs was the order of the night. The area was at the side but with everyone stood up We (myself and the other disabled patrons) couldn't see at all. I appreciate it's a standing venue - nice if I had the option!! but an area with easy viewing would have been appreciated. Also this area was a through route for all the roadies (shame Justin didn't use it as a through route - wouldn't have minded that!!)
A very ill thought out area for the disabled. We didn't want preferential treatment - hate the thought - just the ability to see the band that the others could see due to the fact the band were on a stage and could be seen by the standing audience. When my husband went to the bar he could see better than where he was with me (good excuse to go the bar!!). Not impressed at all with whoever thought this was acceptable. Being recently disabled I see this from both sides of the coin. My rating is purely for the disabled seating area which was my experience. It would be a five for the over all venue though.

Good for a more low key gig though areanas have the advantage that if youre there, youre there to watch all of the acts and have to go outside of the stage areas for drinks, Also coudnt see aaron properly at the end, the stage needs to be more raised!

I like academy, subculture or maybe rams. Fun night out. then again i got thrown out last night for making out with someone in a cubicle. Was all good til a bouncer started speaking and then realised he was looking into our toilet from the next one.
On the bright side i thought it was hilarious the bouncer called in a code E and we ended being escorted by scruff of neck with load of security.
