I fully agree with previous writer. The appeal of going to a local concert and not having to travel very far was ruined by it taking as long to get to London or further by car. Also not being in the court yard was a great shame. It could have been staged anywhere.Anonymous

Travelled down from North Wales and stayed locally, thankfully!
The concert did not finish until 10:30pm''ish but my girlfriend and i got back to our hotel which was a matter of 5 miles away just after 1pm!! The parking arrangements were done by the chuckle brothers (no disrespect intended to the chuckle brothers i think they could have done it better). When we finally got into the car and began to queue, my girlfriend slowed to let some others into the queue but was verbally abused by traffic staff (who obviously were a bit fed up themselves after 2 hours of constant barrage!)
I understand it but it does not excuse it. I will not be attending future concerts at Blenheim Palace until they get this sorted! Very poor organisation.

Blenheim Palace is a beautiful place to watch a concert, although not as magical as when it is held in the Great Court like the 2004, 2005 concerts where. Found this a bit disappointing as did not know until we got there that it wasn''t going to be in the Great Court. Saw both James Blunt and Westlife, both nights brilliant but let down by the dreadful car parking system. This also happened the previous two years. If only they supplied lighting it would not be such a problem. There is nothing worse than coming out of a concert and end up wandering round for ages looking for your car. It does not matter how carefully you have checked the position you parked, and plotted in your mind the way back to it, when darkness falls the whole area looks entirely different. I saw lots of people looking really miserable and fed up trying to locate their motor! This has now happened to us three times and given the amount of cars and people, there should be a better system to make sure you can locate your car more easily.(lighting would make such a difference). Would have been absolutely awful if the weather had been wet, bad enough as it was! It almost feels like they have had your money and are not bothered after that what happens to you once you are out of the official area. I saw a lot of girls/young women looking quite distressed as they had gone round in circles until had lost all track of their position. Please organisers, get a better system if you want to keep filling your seats.
