Saw Goldfrapp at the Corn Exchange. Fantastic show, visually stunning with a real kaliedoscope of revolving patterns as a backdrop. Goldfrapp were brilliant, they began with some real down tempo folksy stuff from their new album , A and E and Happiness being two of my favourite, and then launched into some real electro-rock from earlier albums. O La La could be relied on to get the crowd going. They wound up with Ride a White Horse which was brilliant. The venue was good, easy to get to, well run bars so you weren't queuing for ages, not very good food selection considering a lot of people would have come straight from work. The opening act, whose name I didn't bother to find out, was rubbish, a sort of dirgy indie drone that actually drove people to the bar so it was a good thing it was well run.
This is the fourth gig I have been to at this venue and certainly have never been disappointed
