Went to Rod Stewart and he was fantastic , having been to many concerts at this venue I was totally disgusted to find during break of 12 mins all us unhealthy smokers were herded and I mean herded to what they call the smoke pen which was only one area at the very end of the building which could not cope the volume of people I am fully aware that smoking is not pc however if you are going to have a smoke area it should be a safe enviroment not a accident waiting to happen.

Rubbish, been to many concerts here and don't know why I bother. Not a patch on the old Apollo or even the Armadillo or Concert Hall. A rip off with uncomfortable seats, hollow sound, poor viewing positions and general no atmosphere not to mention merchandising and bar prices. Can't a city like Glasgow get a proper large concert venue.

Attended almost 40 music concerts at SECC over last 15 years. I'd say sound was DECENT(not great) at only 4 maybe 5 of these gigs. Its a big metal box without doubt the WORST music venue in Scotland.

I like the venue but unless you have your own transport it is virtually impossible to get home from the SECC hence the 2 stars.. After the Muse gig on 9th November I walked across the footbridge with hundreds of other fans to catch the last train into Glasgow. It was obvious there was no way we would all get on it. There are no other trains or buses into Glasgow ( it's about a 2 mile walk along dark roads into the centre). Some taxis started arriving randomly at the front of the SECC instead of filing into the taxi rank - people just started running for them ahead of others who had been queuing for ages. I rang for a local taxi but they didn't bother to turn up. 40 minutes waiting in the freezing cold I rang their office and they admitted no one had even picked up the job and it was unlikely that they would. Prior to this concert I had tried prebooking a taxi and was told this wasn't possible - just wait at the rank. I was a woman on my own in a strange city and feeling very vulnerable. Eventually a kind stranger gave me a lift home - it was stupid of me I know but it was a better option than walking. Glasgow City council should really organise a shuttle bus - I bet I'm not the only fan who has been stranded at the venue. I won't go there again
