When asked how the venue was I can only answer that it was excellently awful! I love the steep muddy hills and the retched toilets (this is without a hint of sarcasm), Leeds would not be what it is without all the putrid horror stories! However when you actually enter the arena surprisingly it’s absolutely spiffy! No mud and only porter-potties in sight! The sound system is grand and although the crowd was positively bursting in size at Rage against the machine, we disorganized late comers could still hear the beautiful voice of Zack de la Rocha crystal clear from the back! And hey, where else can you have a monstrous gathering of hippies reliving the 1970 than in a monstrous field?

I am giving the venue a 5/5 because of camping in the guest area. It was a perfect space, with access to the arena that brought you out near the main stage. The arena itself was great with the stages spaced out so the walk between was easy. If I'd have had to camped in the normal area then maybe it would have been a tad lower due to the amount of mud. The toilets were well attended this year so didn't reek as much as I've known them to in the past.

Expensive food and drink and the sound from the main stage just wasn't loud enough for a rock festival - come on, put some effort in!

Carling Ammesty proved popular, where you could swap warm beer for cold. Brilliant invention!

Could be a little more variety in food, however there was substancial amounts of places to eat.
