Went to see Depeche Mode at the weekend, got tickets bought for us on level 4. Never been before so had no idea what it would be like. Got in our block then had to walk up 10 flights of stairs when we sat down i was terrified to move and couldn't look down. I knew there was absolutely no chance i could sit there, went to the information desk and the lady was not very sympathetic, i felt like a nuisance to her. She told me to come back later when show was about to start so we did but she told me to go back a bit later. Then when i went back a lady was complaining about her seats on level 1 (why, i have no idea) so cust services basically swapped our tickets, i grabbed them and ran! We Were in block 102 row p, so seats and view were amazing. Ended up having a great night but if i hadn't got the tickets changed i wouldn't have gone back in. i bet the lady who i swapped with was raging. If anyone has a fear of heights do not buy on level 4!!
O2 Arena: Horrible entrance ques - You will likely miss half the concert whilst waiting to get in the front door!!!! Inexperienced and jobsworth security and staff. Health and saftey gone mad. Expensive ticket prices - not good value for money, much better arenas in the UK, with more freedom and are far more relaxed atmosphere. The O2 tends to forget you are there to enjoy the event and have fun! but it is a bit like being at school where you are restricted and told off a lot! You are not allowed out of the concert for a breath of fresh air, and if you do they will not allow you back in!!!! Too many rules and regulations for a venue of this nature. The O2 attracts fantastic artists who put on fantastic shows but the venue itself lets down both artists and fans.
Went to see Miley Cyrus last night we where in row E block 4 and had to leave , as soon as we sat down my 8 year old burst in to tears and my 10 year old sat still scared to move, it is so high and feels so unsafe, there are no barriers and it is very steep. Customer service have no empathy at all. I know it was a sell out but when confronted by sobbing children you'd think they would try and be understanding. The stewards were so helpful and we ended up in block 112 10 rows from the stage. So I would say to anyone don't give up because if we had listened to so called "customer service" we would of left without seeing anything, with two devastated children.
